"I had a very frustrating experience with State Farm agent Tommy Kehler's office, specifically with a representative named Katherine. I initially contacted them for renter's insurance, but Katherine also persuaded me to switch my auto insurance, touting a low price. However, the low price was contingent on a discount tied to a "beacon" device, which Katherine failed to explain to me. I was unaware of the beacon requirement and how to activate it. Adding to the problem, I discovered I had provided Katherine with the wrong address. Upon realizing this, I immediately contacted her and gave her the correct address. She assured me she had updated it in the system and even sent me what appeared to be proof of the change. Unfortunately, this was a lie. The address was never updated. This led to a series of further issues. For the first two months, I never received my physical auto insurance card. Each time I contacted Katherine about it, she simply said she would resend it, never investigating why it hadn't arrived in the first place. Finally, in the third month, I visited the office in person. Again, she simply made a call and told me it was being sent, taking my correct address again. The biggest problem arose when I discovered the discount tied to the beacon had been removed because I hadn't received the device and therefore couldn't activate it. This meant I had to pay more than I was originally quoted. Only then, after downloading the app, did I discover that my address was still the incorrect one. I had to call again, this time speaking with a different agent (whose name I unfortunately didn't get). This agent finally corrected the address, and I am now supposed to receive the beacon and my physical card. I am extremely dissatisfied with Katherine's service. She lied to me multiple times about updating my address, resulting in me paying for renter's insurance for the wrong address and ultimately costing me extra money on my auto insurance. After my current plans expire, I will not be using State Farm again."
